為什么現(xiàn)在有很多大型銅鼎制作上面都有動物頭圖案？其實(shí)自宋代以來，鑄銅鼎雕塑，這種紋飾稱為饕餮紋獸面紋又多見于鐫刻在青銅鼎上面。以鼻梁為中線，兩側(cè)作對稱排列，上端一道是角，角下有目，形象比較具體的獸面紋在目上還有眉，目的兩側(cè)有的有耳，多數(shù)獸面紋有曲張的爪，兩側(cè)有左右展開的體軀或獸尾，精工鑄銅鼎，少數(shù)簡略形式的沒有獸的體部或尾部。
